LING-N Couture offers an attractive range of couture shoes for women. Its owner/designer Karina Ng says there is a demand for made-to-order shoes because Malaysian women want a combination of comfort and appealing design in their shoes.

“Women seem to have more events and parties to attend. They prefer shoes that match their outfits,” adds Ng, who also runs Ling-N Boutique in Bangsar Shopping Complex, Kuala Lumpur.

Ng, who comes from a family of shoemakers, observes that sling backs are among her best-selling products.

“Such shoes minimise the risk of blisters forming on the heels. They also have better ventilation,” says Ng, whose collection includes sandals, bridal shoes, pumps, stilettos and wedge shoes.

Her creations, priced between RM250 and RM2,000, are made from leather, silk and satin, with pearl, jade or crystal embellishments. (Ling-N Couture: 016-308 7785)
